Author Biographies

Brookie Brown Dickerson grew up in Mesa, Arizona, when it stood all by itself and wasn't considered part of the "Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area." She attended Arizona State University, but graduated from Brigham Young University. She taught school in California, Utah, and Arizona, and married her Prince Charming. They have lived in Illinois, Utah, Missouri, Texas, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Colorado. They have five children; each one born in a different state. As a family, they also lived in Great Britain. They have traveled extensively in the United States and Europe.

Brookie has been writing since she was in elementary school and loves words. She is also the author of the "JJ" series and has been published in children's magazines and church publications. Her favorite place to be in the world depends on who she's with, but somehow home, with family, always seems to edge out all competitors.
