The Fulfilling Marriage: Eleven Steps
Anyone Can Take to Get There
by Rev. Billy Crone
Preface
When my wife and I were first married, we
had a lot of false ideas and false expectations as to what constituted
this thing called marriage. As a result, we experienced lots of heartache
and pain, right from the start. We didn’t understand it at the time, but
now we can look back and see the wisdom of Almighty God in allowing us to
go through such severe trials. Through the prayers, sweat and tears, we
slowly, over time—much time—flushed out the world’s lies concerning
marriage and began to build a marriage on God’s truth. It hasn’t been easy
and it certainly hasn’t always been fun. But now, after many years, we are
beginning to see the fruit.
Therefore, this book is for those of you
who may have also felt the pain of buying into the lie from this world
that a so-called “successful” marriage is one that is devoid of any and
all problems. This book is for those of you, like us, who never had a
“honeymoon period.” This book is for those of you who may be wondering if
you “did the right thing” or “married the right person.” And finally, this
book is for those of you who may be thinking, “It’ll never work. It can
never be made right. I can’t take the pain anymore.”
Inside these pages, you will laugh a
little and learn a lot about this thing called marriage. You will be faced
with many tough decisions and will have to be prepared to change. Why?
Because the height of insanity is to do the same things over and over
again and still expect things to change. However, you will also be
encouraged to know that you’re not alone. You will discover that there’s
hope even in the midst of heartache. And most importantly, if you should
choose the Lord’s way, you will find the strength to truly have, yes, even
you, The Fulfilling Marriage.
One last piece of advice:
When you are through reading this book, then will you please read your
Bible? I mean that in the nicest possible way. Enjoy!
I’m
looking forward to seeing you someday!
