Kimberly Huff is the author of the novel,
Tall Skinny Cappuccino.
She was born in Memphis, Tennessee. She started college
at Louisiana State University, and after two years transferred to Emerson College in Boston where she
got a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations.
She wrote Tall Skinny Cappuccino the following summer,
and placed its setting in Boston, her college town. "I always said I wanted to write, but I thought it was another one of my random ideas like acting classes or marathon training. My best friend once said to me, 'Kim, I'm a romantic, but you’re a hopeless romantic.' It's extremities like these that inspired me to write the crazy thoughts in my head. My mind is an emotional time bomb! You could say that it just went off
one day. Seriously, one night I opened my laptop and a story just poured out. I couldn't stop writing!”
After finishing the manuscript, she moved back to
Memphis, went to work to find a publisher, and received her Master's in
Social Work from the University of Tennessee, Memphis. She currently works
in Memphis as a medical social worker. She lives with her best friend and new puppy Boston.
